Maisie (Sassy)
When Maisie (formerly Sassy) was needing a foster, it didn’t take my husband and I long to decide we wanted to help. I kept showing my coworkers and family her pictures and almost everyone said they knew we’d end up adopting her! It’s been so rewarding seeing Maisie gradually feel safe enough with us to show her sweet personality as well as her energetic/rambunctious side. She’s gone from nervously peeing, being timid around men, and terrified of getting in the car to knowing the potty is outside, adoring her dad & Pappaw, and jumping into the car all by herself (in anticipation of a pup cup, of course). She’s mastered sit, stay, shake, and lay down in the short time we’ve had her. She quickly went from sleeping in her crate to “graduating” and sleeping in our bed. After our foster fail, my husband jokingly nicknamed her Turbo because every morning she’s sprinting to go play outside for hours with her dog brother. Her grandparents, dog brother, and my husband/me already adore her. So happy we get to be Maisie’s forever home!

Fostering a Mom with 9 pups wasn’t always easy, but was so worth all the wagging tails and kisses! We learned that we have so much love to give and that’s what fosters need most.
